Dali was commissioned by the British publishing house Random House to illustrate Miguel de Cervantes' two-volume Don Quixote in 1945. Dali, who made charcoal and watercolor works for the book, also highlighted his own creativity and imagination.Dali shows his crazy style in this work and thinks that there should be a little bit of madness in every beautiful work.He contributed 38 drawings to the book's collection.
