In my painting about Anatolian people, I drew farmers picking cotton. Cotton, which is generally used in textiles, is widely grown in the Çukurova region. During the cotton harvest, farmers dress appropriately for hot weather conditions. They wear hats and headscarves to protect themselves from the sun. Collection is usually done in the morning. The collected cotton is put in sacks and transported to the factories.
